How We Install Metallic Epoxy.
Step 1: Prep the concrete
Depending on the condition of the floor, we will either grind or acid wash the concrete to make it rough so that the epoxy will have a mechanical bond to the concrete.
Step 2: Prime the concrete
We roll a coat of high solids epoxy primer across the entire floor. The color varies depending on each customer.
Step 3: Apply Metallic Epoxy
We trowel down a coat of metallic epoxy.
Step 4: Apply Urethane (optional) Note: Urethane, while increasing abrasion resistance, also adds some texture to the floor.
